Cecil Pintuck Top

The Cecil Pintuck Top is developed from Bunka Block (Missy Style).  Inspired by a design in the Mrs Stylebook 2022 Spring edition, this romantic feminine blouse has a square neckline and balloon 3/4 length sleeves.

 

What you will learn from making this outfit:

• Take basic body measurements

• Develop the Bunka Bodice Block (Missy Style) using your measurements

• Develop the top design from the Bunka Bodice Block (Missy Style)

• Interpret instructional drafting illustrations to develop garment patterns

• Convert bodice block to garment pattern

• Drafting of sleeves

• Fabric layout and cutting 

• Construction of the top, which includes sewing techniques:

1. Finishing neckline with facing

2. Creating pintucks

3. Gathering

4. Attaching set-in sleeves

• Fabric: 1.5m x 45" wide

• Fusible interfacing: 10cm x 90cm wide

• Matching thread
